NOTE FROM THE EDITOR:

Welcome to the PA Music Scene.  This is a project that started out as a hobby inspired by my love of music and the influence of a local band I admired, whom will always be near and dear to my heart.  I hope the readership of this site takes pleasure in its content and continues to support the talent of the Pennsylvania Music Scene.  We are here as volunteers to help unite artists, venues and fans.

Truth is – we would enjoy meeting as many people as possible. We cannot make it to every venue – every time but we do try to give as much coverage as we can. Whether we just happen to be in your neighborhood or you email us to tell us about a band/artist or a benefit that could use some recognition/promotion … this is our way of getting out to explore new venues, absorb some great music, observe a performance and meet the people in the neighborhood. Better yet, if you would like to become a part of the PA MUSIC SCENE feel free to send an email:

Why not write about what’s going on in your neighborhood pub/bar/club/restaurant/theatre? Did you see a band/solo musician perform that was really awesome? Did you enjoy the food, drinks and atmosphere? We will post your article on the PAMusicScene.com and link them to MySpace, Facebook, ReverbNation and Twitter. We also have our own YouTube Channel. If you have pictures you would like to share – go ahead and send a few of those as well. We want to know about MUSIC IN PENNSYLVANIA.

The PA Music Scene is NOT here to be some “body” behind a keyboard. We put ourselves out there for you to become familiar. We like to write articles to tell everyone we can about when your interest in music started, where it is now and where it is going in the future with links to hear your music, attend your gigs or purchase your CDs. Since when is building a rapport a bad thing?

The appreciation and mutual support we have received is amazing!! Special shout out to Media Boomtown, MyRuralRadio.com , Terry Selders of Susquehanna Entertainment, John Harris of the Millennium Music Conference & Showcase, The River 97.3 WRVV, Harrisburg Midtown Arts Center, PocoNotes and Mike Siconolfi (DJ Mike the Godfather) . Don’t you just love it when people dig your music & actually know who you are? Well the PA Music Scene also thinks it is cool if you recognize us, that you actually know who we are and that we are coming out to hear YOUR MUSIC and see YOUR PERFORMANCE! After all, isn’t the state slogan:

“YOU’VE GOT A FRIEND IN THE PA MUSIC SCENE”

But in all seriousness -

WE ARE YOUR FRIENDS IN MUSIC!

-Gina
