Ok, so how many times did it really take Gina to get me to come back to my roots and begin writing again? I guess that depends on if you’re asking me or GINA.
Gina and I have a friendship that we can now say spans over a decade and a few PA Counties. I’m happy to come out of “writing retirement” and give her and her website a hand. Let’s not forget that it fills some of my empty hours at home too!
Hailing from the thriving metropolis of Williamsport, PA, I’m a music buff at heart. Not the traditional “oh, I love rock, blues, etc., etc., etc.” type, you see…I truly DO love all types of music (with the exception of the heavy metal head banging stuff). My dream is to sing in a band one day. Can I sing, you ask? No. But hey, we all have a dream, yes?
The middle-aged mother of two musically inclined sons and with a tiny bit of talent myself, I’m drawn to the wonderful sounds of the blues and absolutely ADORE jazz genres. Play a harmonica to me all night long, fellas! My background began as a sports reporter for my high school newspaper, a start up newspaper for my college in West Palm Beach, Florida a classic rock stint with my college radio station and then progressed as an on air personality for the now defunct WHTO, FM in Muncy, PA. I walked away from those roots for a long time to raise a family, plant a garden, build a deck on my home (no, it’s not finished almost 10 years later), (ask Gina about the pond in my backyard in Ashland, PA!)
But now, facing my early 40’s, it’s time to “come home” to what I love. Music, writing and being a strong woman.
You’ll see me write from time to time and if there’s something you’d like to see covered in the Williamsport area, feel free to let me know and I’ll make it a point to stop out and see you….
Until then….get out and enjoy some of all that our region has to offer!

Hey, welcome to the club… But just know that Gina has friends in high places, and if you don’t submit your material ON TIME, she keeps an extra sharp pair of scissors in her glove compartment.
play a harmonica to me all night long…
Um, Brian? That’s not ALL she keeps in that glove compartment…;0)
poor, thank you for the comment. I do LOVE a great harmonica…something about the harp that really gets to me. Good harp players are hard to find.
