One of “Ten Brooklyn Bands You Should Hear Now”, La Strada hit their stride with their debut full length, ‘New Home’, produced by Kyle “Slick” Johnson (Cymbals Eat Guitars, Rogue Wave), out April 20 on Ernest Jenning Record Co. So far so great with the response to the new album all around! La Strada were just voted Deli NY’s Band Of the Month, and have SXSW shows and a US tour in support of the release. A brand new Daytrotter session posted a few wks ago, feature now on Spinner and the first album single “My New Home” featured download on Magnet Magazine online.
La Strada have quickly risen as local favorites on the NYC music scene on the strength of their live show and previously released self-titled EP. For everyone in the room, it’s foot stomping, hand clappin’ great times at every one of their local shows as well as their tours with Bowerbirds and Hey Rosetta. With La Strada’s dynamic energy and boisterous sounds made by accordian, guitar, violin, bass, voice, drums and raw emotion charging and swooning triumphantly, this six piece (they just added a cellist!) always gives a live show that is easy to get behind!
