MY favorite slippers are not under my bed, or worn and tattered. They have been replaced by a new pair of slippers fresh & new, full of energy, and will certainly make your feet feel like dancing even after a long day on the job… simply irresistible – The Fuzzy Bunny Slippers band.
I must admit, when I first heard that the Fuzzy Bunny Slippers band was playing at the West Shore Hardware Bar June, 2009. I assumed that they were just a bunch of punk kids opening for Flav a Flav, and heck, to see Flav, we had to watch the FBS… no big deal. I’ve seen a lot of bands in my day & never heard of this group. Probably just another up and coming local group trying to get some publicity and recognition, no doubt… I’ve seen a lot of garage bands too in my day, hell, how bad could they be? I have seen some of the best never make it! Besides, everyone needs a break & what a better chance than this night for the FBS? Opening for Flav would be a true score. The crowd was massive and impatient for the show to begin. Understandable, as I am sure the rest of the crowd was there just like me, to see Flav… hell, it was elbow to elbow. A sell out!
I admit, I was so wrong! When FBS came out on the stage, they sure weren’t fuzzy nor would I describe them as bunnies! They were brilliant musicians. Gifted maybe is a better description. I couldn’t keep my eyes off their show, the force & energy they had over their crowd with their performance was remarkable. You could feel it. As you looked around I wasn’t the only one mesmerized. I found it hard to keep my eyes off the stage as my body was already moving to their music and screaming along with the lyrics. Hypnotized and screaming to the lyrics… Screaming? Yeah I was screaming right along with everyone else all night long!
The lead singers and front men are Zack and Todd. This duo doubles your pleasures with a great passion for music. Todd spent years with Burnt Sienna. Zack spent some of his earlier days with Fishbone and Kings X. Don who makes the guitar wail to any tune and his performance will make your energy tilt! Last but not least, believe me… are the fame fabs- Ignatious on bass and Mike “Killer” on drums.
I will warn you now; if you have a hard time at multi-tasking you will get some practice at one of their gigs. You will be able to simultaneously do some dancing, listening, screaming out the lyrics while watching these high energy dudes in no time. You may start out a little fuzzy lookin’ at times, but your feet will never stopping until the last song is over.

I love their song “Tighten Up.”
Want to spend a chilly night with some warm and charming slippers? Great friends, great tunes, and a fabulous show await you! Come be a part of the mayhem yourself!
I promise you other than their name, and possibly your head in the morning… there is nothing fuzzy about them at all. See you at a show sometime soon!
