BEYOND EDEN – Self-titled CD Review
The band has made some media inroads locally with their music being played on WZZO’s Backyard Bands and Matt Metal’s WXLV Show. They have played venues such as The Black Horse Pub, Planet Trog and Crocodile Rock where they opened for Halestorm.
Their self-titled CD Includes the tracks “Into the War”, “Queen of Ice”, “Hush” and “Hypnotize” that are all unique to themselves and make powerful statements. Powerful, but subtle guitar riffs and pulsating rhythms pervade throughout this offering.
“Into The War” has some awesome affects to open and an outro that is different. “Queen of Ice” opens with some classic rock guitar riffs that blend into a pulsating natural beat that morphs into an energetic hook. “Hush” has an awesome but eerie keyboard intro that gives way to Phoenix’s awesome pipes. “Hypnotize” is my pick as the best track on this CD. The vocals are down to earth and heartfelt, the instrumentation is sharp and the song could break into mainstream radio with the proper promotion.
Beyond Eden has the ingredients needed to go to the next level in their quest to serve up their music to the masses.
