January 2011

Kicking off their 2011 North American tour, Linkin Park has put together a tour EP that features 2 of their songs live from their show in Tel Aviv, Israel and a track from the 3 bands that will tour with them – The Prodigy, Pendulum, and Does It Offend You Too, Yeah. All the music on this EP has been bang-up smashes at the underground clubs in the US.
“Numb” is a song about how today’s teen feel inside. Their pain, frustrations all add up to some powerful lyrics. It was the 3rd single from their LP ‘Meteora’ in 2003 and was #1 for 12 weeks on Billboard’s Hot Modern Rock Chart.
“When They Come For Me” was made primarily for the opposite end of the Linkin Park fan spectrum, Rap/Hip Hop. The X-rated lyrics were a boon to some and a turn-off to others, but the awesome rhythms and beat paper the background with a brilliant crescendo. This was released in mid 2010 on “A Thousand Suns” LP.

“Omen” by The Prodigy talks about the writing that is on the wall. It is filled with high energy breaks and electronica in their own unique style.

“Watercolour” is the first single from the third album” Immersion” by Australian drum and bass band Pendulam. This song has been remixed by dubstep artist Emalkay and by progressive house artist deadmau5 and was released in 2010.

“We Are The Dead” by Does It Offend You, Yeah from the LP “Don’t Say We Didn’t Warn You” has been thru more rewrites than the Ghostbusters 3 script. This cut still isn’t the final and the band changes it weekly!
